4ch mV – Tc Modbus RS-485 IO Module, SS10016 from Sielco Sistemi.

The SS10016 IO Module allows you to acquire up to 4 analogue mV / Tc input signals. These data values are transmitted with MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on the RS-485 network.

You can connect 4 voltage signals up to ± 250 mV or thermocouples sensor type B, E, K, J, N, R, S, T. By programming, you are also able to scale the input measurement up to ± 32768 points. 

The device has many features. Firstly, it benefits from high accuracy and stable measurement versus time and temperature. It also comes with a Watch-Dog timer alarm, ensuring plant safety. Additionally, you can use the device in heavy environmental conditions thanks to the isolation between the parts of circuit, which removes eventual ground-loop effects. In addition, the SS10016 is housed in a 6 module DIN rough self-extinguishing plastic box for mounting on EN-50022 standard DIN rail.

This device is designed to work with the MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol, a standard protocol in field-bus. As a result, you can directly interface SS10000 series devices to most PLCs and SCADA applications available on the market.
