Description

8-Channel Thermocouple and Voltage Measurement

The DATAQ DI-2008 Thermocouple and Voltage Data Logger is a high-performance USB data acquisition system. It is specifically designed for precise temperature and voltage monitoring in industrial, laboratory, and research applications. Featuring 8 differential isolated analogue input channels, the DI-2008 allows each channel to be independently configured for thermocouple or voltage measurements.

Compatible with Multiple Thermocouple Types

Supporting thermocouple types J, K, T, B, R, S, E, and N, the DI-2008 provides accurate temperature measurement with automatic linearisation and cold junction compensation. Voltage measurement ranges from ±10 mV to ±50 V make the system suitable for a wide range of signal acquisition tasks, including 4-20 mA process monitoring using a shunt resistor.

Isolated Inputs for Accurate Industrial Monitoring

With 16-bit resolution and isolated channel architecture, the DI-2008 delivers highly accurate and noise-resistant measurements, even in electrically noisy industrial environments. The integrated USB interface and included WinDaq software enable rapid setup, real-time monitoring, and reliable long-term data logging.

The DI-2008 also includes seven programmable digital ports for switch, counter, and rate input applications, making it suitable for RPM, pulse, flow, and event monitoring. Additionally, ChannelStretch™ expansion support allows scalability up to 128 analogue and 112 digital channels for larger data acquisition systems.

ChannelStretch™ Operation
WinDaq software: If any synced device has two or more enabled analogue channels, all synced
devices must enable the same number of analogue and digital channels and
the same sample throughput rate. If all synced devices have one or zero
enabled analogue channels, sample rate per channel must be the same across
all devices. One or more digital ports configured as a discrete input counts as
one digital channel. Rate and count inputs count as one digital channel each.
Programmed (.Net- or protocol-based): Sample rate per channel must be the same across all synced devices.
Maximum number of devices: 16
Maximum channel count: 128 analogue, 112 digital
Maximum supported throughput: ≥480 kHz
Synchronization compatibility: DI-2008
PC USB prerequisite: All instruments must be connected to the same USB controller.
The use of USB hubs are recommended to meet this requirement.
