The SS3130 IO Module is able to acquire up to 4 digital inputs and to drive up to 4 relay outputs. The data are transmitted with MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on RS-485 network.
To assure safe operation of the system, the device is equipped with two Watch-Dog timers. In case of alarm, the outputs are forced automatically on the safe configuration. The 2000 Vac galvanic isolation between inputs, outputs, power supply and RS-485 serial line cancels any ground-loop effect noise. This allows you to use the device in worst ambient conditions.
The SS3130 is in compliance to the 89/336/EEC directive on the electromagnetic compatibility. Furthermore, it is housed in a rough self-extinguishing plastic enclosure of 22.5 mm thickness, suitable for EN 50022 standard DIN rail. It is able to acquire up to 4 analogue input signals, data values are transmitted with MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol on the RS-485 network (RS232 interface is available.)
The SS3130 is designed to work with the MODBUS RTU/ASCII protocol: standard protocol in field-bus. This allows you to directly interface SS3000 series devices to most PLCs and SCADA applications available on the market.
