Description

8-channel USB & Ethernet Data Logger, DI-4718B from DATAQ Instruments.

Possible alternative to the following discontinued units: DI-715B, DI-500 Series, DI-510 Series, DI-740, DI-750 Series, DI-760 Series.
Direct replacement for the soon to be discontinued DI-718B.

Product Features:

  • Eight Signal-conditioned Input Channels
Measure temperature, pressure, flow, current, voltage, and more using isolated DI-8B amplifiers.
  • Stand-alone Data Logger Operation
Store data to flash drives at throughput rates up to 160kHz.*
  • Connect via LAN or over the Internet for configuration and data acquisition.
  • Pre/Post Tigger Storage to USB Memory
Set trigger levels to record up to 2G (combined) of pre- and post-trigger data (total file size of 4G).
  • Fast, 160 kHz Sample Throughput Rate
  • 12- to 16-bit ADC Resolution
  • Auto Re-Trigger
When using Triggered Storage, triggers can automatically reset, creating a new file with pre and post trigger data each time the trigger level is breached.
  • Expandable with ChannelStretch**
Expand time-aligned channel count by adding as many as sixteen DI-4718Bs, DI-4108s, DI-4208s, and/or DI-1120s to one PC. Synchronously acquire from as many as 128 analogue and 112 digital channels.
  • Two digital ports for remote controls
  • Comprehensive Programming Support
The DI-4718B includes a comprehensive .Net class for the Windows programming environment. A device protocol is fully documented for use with operating systems other than Windows.
  • Optional Power over Ethernet (PoE)
The optional Power over Ethernet feature allows you to both communicate with and power the DI-4718B via the Ethernet connector, sparing the inconvenience and expense of running power to the unit.
  • Ready-to-run Software Support**
Provided with ready-to-run WinDaq software for point-and-click DAQ performance with a real-time display, disk-streaming recording, and playback and analysis.

* Unlock code required for each instrument to record all channels to flash memory.

** WinDaq/Unlock required per device to use ChannelStretch™ using WinDaq software. ChannelStretch™ is not available when using the device as a stand-alone data logger

DI-8B amplifiers – sold separately.

Application Areas

The 8-channel USB & Ethernet Data Logger can be used in many applications such as:

  • In-vehicle automotive testing.
  • Remote wireless radio monitoring for signal strength, power supply voltages, etc.
  • Agricultural equipment testing.
  • Electromechanical timing and amplitude measurements on presses and mills (e.g. paper, steel, tube).

* Operating systems no longer supported by Microsoft are not targeted platforms for WinDaq software. While such operating systems to the best of our knowledge still support WinDaq software, unpredictable problems may occur that will not be considered by DATAQ Instruments to be a failure of the software to perform.

Further, no hardware products released after an operating system is discontinued by Microsoft will support the discontinued operating system.

If you have any questions regarding compatibility of specific DATAQ Instruments hardware and operating systems, please contact us for clarification.
