Description
8460 36-Ch Thermal Chart Recorder from B&K Precision and Sefram
The 8460 36-Ch Thermal Chart Recorder is a versatile high-speed data acquisition recorder featuring an integrated thermal printer. You can view measurement results on the 15.4-inch touchscreen display, save them on the large internal hard drive, and print them on continuous 270 mm wide-format paper. With three slots for dedicated input modules, you can configure this system to suit your specific application. Choose from any combination of universal, isolated high voltage, multiplexed, or strain gauge input modules for up to 36 analogue inputs.
For capturing high-speed or transient signals, the 8460 can simultaneously acquire and record 18 inputs at a sampling rate of 1 MSa/s in memory mode. A variety of start and stop conditions are available, including triggering based on analogue channel level or edge, logic channel state (high or low), or a designated date and time. Additionally, you can select various actions to perform when recording stops, such as sending emails, printing data in memory, or changing the setup file.
The secondary file function allows you to record low and high-speed data in separate files, which helps reduce file sizes and minimize storage usage. The intuitive user interface makes setup straightforward, and you can view measurement results graphically or numerically on the display while data is simultaneously recorded or printed. Built-in analysis tools include a mathematical function editor and a dedicated power quality analysis mode for analysing single-phase and three-phase power networks.
Display options encompass measured voltages and currents, calculated values, vector diagrams, and harmonics.
Digital Inputs and Alarm Outputs
To facilitate integration with external systems and devices, the 8460 provides digital inputs and alarm outputs. Logic inputs can be recorded alongside analogue data or used to start and stop recordings. Alarms can be configured based on any combination of analogue or logic channels, allowing you to control external devices or send email notifications.
Synchronisation and Connectivity
The 8460 also supports common synchronization protocols, including IRIG, NTP, and PTP (in client mode or server mode with the IRIG option installed). You can connect to the 8460 remotely via the built-in LAN interface or optional USB Wi-Fi. This allows you to control the unit, transfer data and configuration files, and view live data on a PC.
