Description
MDL4U Series DC Load Modules for the MDL4U001 Mainframe and MDL4U002 Mainframe Extension.
The MDL4U Series is a multi-channel, modular programmable electronic load system designed for versatility in testing various power sources. It includes seven different modules of programmable DC loads, with power ratings ranging from 200 W to 600 W. This gives users the flexibility to test power supplies such as multi-output DC power sources, batteries, fuel cells, and photovoltaic arrays.
The mainframe of the system features a controller and four open slots that can accommodate a combination of modules, allowing for a total power capacity of up to 2400 W (expandable to 4800 W with a mainframe extension). The high-performance electronic load modules can operate in four modes: constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CW).
Users can easily modify the load parameters—such as voltage, current, slew rate, and width—using the front panel. To enhance productivity, test parameters can be saved into any of the 101 available memory areas for quick recall. The MDL4U Series also features 16-bit resolution and includes multiple protection modes, alongside a power-on system self-test to ensure reliable performance.
For remote communication, the MDL4U Series supports various standard interfaces, including LAN, USB (USBTMC-compliant), RS232, and GPIB, all of which adhere to the SCPI command protocol..
