Description
The BK 8625 is part of the BK 8600 Series Rackmount 6U Programmable DC Electronic Loads. This model is the 6U version (2U half-rack, and 3U alternatives are also available).

The BK 8600 Series offers exceptional transient response times and high 16-bit measurement resolution, making them the ideal standalone DC loads for testing and evaluating a wide range of DC sources, including DC power supplies, DC-DC converters, batteries, battery chargers, and photovoltaic arrays.
Designed for versatility, these DC loads operate in four distinct modes: constant current (CC), constant voltage (CV), constant resistance (CR), and constant power (CW). They can be dynamically configured to provide rapidly changing loads to DC sources, featuring quick load switching times. The robust internal, external, and remote triggering options allow for seamless synchronization of dynamic load behavior with various events. To maximize efficiency, you can easily save your test parameters in any of the 100 available memory slots for quick retrieval when needed. All load parameters—voltage, current, slew rate, and width—can be easily adjusted via the front panel or programmed remotely.
The BK 8625 model comes equipped with standard USB (USBTMC-compliant), RS232, and GPIB interfaces for straightforward remote communication.
To ensure reliable testing, this series features a power-on system self-test along with a comprehensive suite of protection features, including overtemperature protection (OTP), overvoltage protection (OVP), overcurrent protection (OCP), overpower protection (OPP), and local/remote reverse voltage protection (LRV/RRV).

*2 The slew rate specifications are not warranted, but are descriptions of typical performance. The actual transition time is defined as the time for the input to change from 10% to 90%, or vice versa, of the programmed current values. In case of very large load changes, e.g. from no load to full load, the actual transition time will be larger than the expected time. The load will automatically adjust the slew rate to fit within the range (high or low) that is closest to the programmed value.
