Moreover, the D18-MUX8 is available for capturing slower trends with its eight multiplexed channels. With an internal 500 GB solid-state drive and an optional battery offering up to four hours of field operation, this instrument guarantees long-duration recording even in the most remote locations.

Operation and Software

The DAS1820 software environment is designed for maximum efficiency and advanced analysis. The DM308 20-Ch Actuator / General Purpose Switch (for the DAQ3120) is a dedicated switch module featuring 20 independent single-pole double-throw (SPDT) relays. Each relay is equipped with Normally-Open, Normally-Closed, and Common contacts. This provides users with considerable flexibility in the connection and control of DUTs. Typical applications for this module include power cycling of DUTs, management of indicator and status lights, and activation of external power relays and solenoid valves. The DM307 Multi-Function Module (for the DAQ3120) enhances the system’s functionality by offering a combination of digital and analogue control capabilities. It is equipped with two 8-bit digital input/output ports, enabling the control of external devices and the reading of digital signals. Furthermore, it incorporates a totalizer that can count pulses from devices at a frequency of up to 100 kHz. It also provides two analogue output (DAC) channels to generate programmable voltage or current outputs. The module continuously monitors alarm thresholds for both digital inputs and totalizer inputs, logging alarm conditions even when not actively scanning. Additionally, sense channels are included to monitor current or voltage.
